DONE!

We have finished the K&K weekend. She actually recognized BB, but did proceed to lock him out of the house when he went to put the salt in the water softener. Of course his Sis couldn't get off the chair to let him in, she just kept yelling WHAT? I was at the food store with the car keys which also have the house keys on it, fortunately it was a nice day, sunny and 42 degrees and his SIS finally unlocked the door. Am trying to enjoy the last couple of hours of the weekend before I do the W3's and the payroll for next week. Got lots of cards to make for March birthdays, one down and 5 to go.

Saturday

Off to do the errands, food shopping for the K&K Show, before I do the food shopping tomorrow in NJ. Gotta hit Costco to save the money. Disappointed that our plans fell through (yet again) with BL & KC. I was looking forward to seeing them today, but 'ain't gonna happen. BB thought the weather would be too bad to go today, so we didn't go to Costco last night, hence we can't go to NJ today. When I spoke with BL last night I tried to get him to encourage KC to join our little diversion. We look forward to reading KC's spin on life. Worked last night on a birthday card for my DDIL, so I can't post it yet. Have a nice day, be safe if you're going out!

Hall 'artwork'

To replace the 'believe' set I made 'journey' using basic grey paper, some scroll stamps, vellum and words and letters. BB is leaving for Rochester tomorrow, hopefully to return on Thurs. He packed extra stuff in case he gets snowed in. Who goes to Rochester in Feb? It must run in the family, who moves to C-Land in Dec?

See the new links?

The eldest had a good laugh when I asked him to help me with my new endeavor. He showed me how to set up the links to my two favorite bloggers. Do you think the wife of the eldest will join us? I think KC would be very good at blogging, she tells very funny stories. By the way, I don't think that JL is sloppy enough, she has to learn to let her left brain be in control.

Further complications...

So after contemplating the rest of the night, BB has decided to re-use the sink from the master bathroom and tear open the wall in the hall bath. So I clean with every hazardous product know to (wo)man the old sink which will soon become the new sink. BB is using some manly tool to cut out the rubberized, plasticized caulking from the very old sink. After completing that task and disconnecting the faucets, we realize that it is wedged in so tightly that there is no way we (BB and MidSize C) are ever going to be able to lift it over the existing cabinet, and passed the mouldings. So BB gets an even more manly tool and proceeds to saw the very old sink in half (another one of my good ideas.) I think we both may have black lung disease, but the very old sink is out of the house. While all this is going on, he gets a call from work (this is unprecedented in his new job) and he needs to go into the office because they dropped the data center!!!! BB to the rescue and all is fine in PM Land. I took this lull in the Bathroom Affair to craft. As soon as I get a chance I'll post the new 'artwork' I made for the hallway frames.

Complications

So as usual, nothing ever goes easily. BB is finally ready to install the sink that has been sitting on the crafting, I mean ping pong table, since last March. I'm so excited I've even cleaned off the edge of my inks and such, so he can work on taking off the old faucets and replacing them with the new faucets, which have also been sitting on the table since March. Why he chooses that moment to measure the sink and the bathroom space, I don't know, but you guessed it the sink is 1/2" too big for the spot. I say cut a hole in the wall and shove it in, he says with that look we all know, are you nuts? Let's go to HD and buy one that fits, we'll sell this one in that ever elusive garage sale. I say sure. We go to HD, new sinks are also 61", too big, We go to L's and the new sinks are 61", too big. The salesman in L's says, cut a hole in the wall and shove it in. BB says, I guess that's what we're going to have to do? Now where did I hear that idea before? Needless to say BB sitting on the couch, contemplating the problem. I'm going to take out my stuff again and contemplate the crafting table.

Have you checked out this site?

Happy Valentine's Day

A picture of the Valentines I sent my kids, not that I was able to compete with my DIL. Got teased about the lack of volume.......I'm going to try to put the link in for the sour cream containers. Here goes http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/sour_cream_container/

Real simple to make..

Miserable Weather

It's sleeting, snowing and icing. Supposed to get warmer through the night and turn to rain here. Don't know about C-town or E-land. Could be dicey tomorrow morning. Got a lovely box
(actually 2) of candy from my very sweet S and DIL. Bailey says thanks for the pretzels too. She might have to fight Daddy for them. My D-DIL is certainly raising the bar with her handiwork. Do you have moments of crafting when everything turns out right, and others that look like you've created something a 5 year old could have made better? Finally finished the last of the Feb cards and gifts. My SIL card and gift goes tomorrow. March has just as many projects for me. Anyone special celebrating a b-day?

Monday, February 11, 2008

I cut the card using Cricut Design Studio to weld the number 1's and then cut the letters out of the card. I then cut the inside with the paper face down so it lined the card. I tucked in a small piece behind the cuts so it didn't show the white back of the paper. I measures 7-1/2." high and 4" wide when open. Yes there is glitter on it, but it came on the paper and doesn't rub off. It's from DCWV Nana's kids.

It's All New to ME

This is my first journey into blogland. My DD says there has to be any easier way to send pictures back and forth between my DD, DD-IL and me than uploading into e-mail. Now I just have to figure out how to upload the pictures, and oh yeah, what my blog address is. Good luck to us all.
