At least I try for

for once a week! These are 2 of the projects that have kept me busy. The top is a little brag book I made for Mrs. W congratulating her on becoming a Gma. I'll post M&KW gift when I finish the front cover. The bottom is for one of the birthday buddies. We are invited to celebrate his birthday for dinner with his brother and SIL and two children. Should be fun! We are not taking Bailey, we think she will be uncomfortable with Annalee like she is with Sean. The rest of my family is having a great time in C-town.....Very JEALOUS!!! Hope everyone is having a great day!

New Soup

This may not be for J in E-town, too much dairy, but it really is tasty.
1/2 lb bacon, small onion chopped, 1/2 c shredded carrots, 1 stalk celery diced, 4 TBS butter divided, 2 cans chicken broth, 4 potatoes diced, 1/4 c flour 1/2 oz American Cheese cubed,
1-1/2 c milk, salt & pepper
Saute the bacon, drain when cooked, not crisp and set aside. Soften onion, carrots, celery in 1TBS butter. Add 2 cans chicken broth & potatoes, bring to boil and cook until potatoes are soft. Meanwhile cook butter and flour in another pan. Add to soup when potatoes are soft. Bring to boil and cook 2 minutes. Lower heat and add cheese and milk, stir until cheese melts. Serve and enjoy.
Have a great SAT, on my way out to cut bushes.

Had a great day

at B&K's for dinner. Chicken parsipanny, risotto, corn and steamed broccoli. Very tasty! We celebrated his birthday a little early, but they have plans to be in C-town for training and visiting J&K. It's been really a good month, great news for JML, KJL still happy with her work, BL and KML both got good news at work, and JBL is happy at work and home! A mom can't ask for more. My house is getting back together slowly but surely. Love the cabinets! Will post the after pictures when I finish putting it back together. I had to make a card for Uncle Ray. Used Cricut Design Studio to make a lace of numbers, a lot cheaper than buying the laser die cut. Inside it says 'pick a number and stick with it.' Stamped the back of the envelope with number, just a little preview. Have a great week, love you all!

Wedding Card

Just made this for the wedding tomorrow. The top picture is the card in the vellum envelope. I embossed the paper with cuttlebug folder and then matted it on silver. I cut an oval and silver embossed the bride and groom, put a ribbon behind the oval before I mounted it onto the base card. Looking forward to seeing the get well cards before they get turned in. Looking forward to hearing anything from my D-DIL in C-town!!!!!

J will prpbably like the color

This is what we picked for the kitchen window. It's just going to be a folded valance. The familyroom material is special order, so I can't share yet. That one we are just recovering the existing valence with this as cording on the top. The color is a little rustier than it appears, but has some crimsom. What's the opinions......?

I share this as the before pictures...

It has to look better after! If my dining room and living room are larger than my kitchen and laundry room, why is it that the stuff doesn't fit? The one creative thing I did this weekend was a baby card for a customer from work who sends us pictures and thinks she is our best friend. I
