Easter Cards 2012

I made the window cards for our grandson and granddaughter using PTI cardstock and Bitty Dot paper. The bunny with the basket is MFT Basket Full O' Flopsey and the window is the Grand Madison window from Poppystamps lined with acetate. Inside the card I did some masking and used background stamps for the floor and walls. Colored the bunnies and eggs with Copics. Paper pieced the basket with the Bitty Dot paper. The kids (both 2) were not so impressed. The moms and the aunt liked the cards, I think....
I see that a new blog called ablognamedhero.blogspot.com has a challenge this week to make a card with a window, so I though it was appropriate to link these cards. I know the pictures are not the best, but since I can't retake the pictures, hopefully you can still see my idea.

Stamps of Life - Mother-Daughter Exchange

I'm having a problem uploading this picture to my gallery at The Stamps of Life, so I though I'd try to blog it then load it from the blog.  Wish me luck!

Finally - The Exchange

It took me long enough to decide on which card I wnated to exchange with J this month. This was card number five that I decided I would send. I used Stamps of Life Owls 2 Love (owls and Whooo [Thank Whooo cut in half] brushed with Perfect Pearls), Branches 4 Flowers (the large branch with extra branches added by the smallest branch) and Solids 4 Halloween (fence). The paper was stash Halloween paper fron last year.

CPS Sketch

This is my first time participating in a sketch challenge. The Stamps of Life is sponsoring the CPS Sketch this week and I thought I would try my hand at it. I took some liberties and turned the sketch on it's side and inverted the tabs to the top of the rectangle. I used the Flowers2Share set, and paper pieced the vases and the flowers from pattern paper. Quick and simple card. I need to get into the habit of making more of those.

S.O.L. Swap

So Scrapbaby says that we came up with this idea of a monthly swap, I think it was more her than me, but I love it. She was kind enough to stretch her comfort zone to card making instead of scrapbooking. Of course once I was invested in the idea, I had to take part in making up the rules. (We both are rule followers.) So here is my submission: Stamps of Life Branches4Flowers August set, kraft card stock, pale yellow mat, and random scrap of yellow ribbon. It took me longer to tie the bow than to make the card because I'm frugal (cheap and I hoard), and I cut the ribbon too short!
