Birthday Card

This is the birthday card for GMa. I used a transparency over the pink stamped with flowers and cut the scroll from cricut. We had fun in AC but on the way home had to explore south jersey because the Walt Whitman Bridge was closed for 4 hours due to a hostage situation. A man was holding his girlfriend and 1 year old son on the bridge at gunpoint and with a bat. It turns out the gun was plastic and the girlfriend is also under arrest because she wasn't be held against her will. Only in Philly!!!!

Happy Birthday to You!

It's a big day, no work and we're on our way to AC to celebrate. BB is sorting through the Trop flyers that they send. BB has 10.00 and free parking, the birthday girl has multiple offers, and I haven't made the mailing list. Oh well. I'm sure I'll be talking to you all later.

It was a Happy Easter!

What a wonderful weekend for me, thanks to all the people I love the most making it home. And I have the leftovers too!!!!!

Just a note

Got a slow start this morning, got to work and there was no power for about 30 minutes, so now I don't feel like working. Hope everyone in C-town is feeling better! Had a nice time with Gma last night. Went to a Joanne's Superstore in Quakertown. My DD knew it was there but never shared. Had a fish sandwich at Wendy's and then went to Walmart. Nothing but high end for us! Then the dilema...Idol, Big Brother and Dancing with the Stars all overlapped. Could only DVR 2 shows and watch one of those!!!!! I spent the night watching commercials as I swapped between the shows. Such stress!!!!!!!

Sun PM

We just got back from Etown and I have the payroll to write, and big brother to watch, but I wanted to thank J&H for a delicious meal and a lovely time. Maybe next time H can win at cards. He sooooo tried to be Portuguese and cheat, maybe next time.... Gma says the place is lovely, so I guess J&H can continue living there. B (not to be confused with BB) also was very comfortable and enjoyed her stay...I hope she can return again. I don't mean to say that BB wasn't very comfortable also. H very graciously allowed him to watch Nascar, fed him and let him sit in the prime sofa spot. Good ending to a Sun, especially since we went to the K&K show this morning.

It's the weekend...

Mixed feelings about the weekend. Happy because GMa is arriving today, but it is also the K&K Show weekend. At least after that ordeal we get to see J&H. They invited us for dinner on Sun.

trying again

When I'm home all day...

I get stuff done. Other than taking Bailey for a ride to Sherwin Williams, BB & I stayed home all day and worked on projects. BB pit up crown moulding in the hall bath. We would have been done in there. but since I am full of good ideas, I suggested moulding to cover the crooked ceilings and BB agreed. Now it needs caulking and paint. I on the other hand worked on little pictures for the kitchen shelves by the sink. Have to go to ACM or M's today. Need stuff to make a chart for TGG's new contest. Don't forget we've sprung ahead...change your clocks!

Quick Card

Used cuttlebug embossing folder in corner. Saw on the scrapbooking show today that it is more interesting to use different size mats behind pictures. I think it looks formal in this case.

The left side is cut out. I just used a big circle punch and inserted it half way to form the semicircle. Then used the same punch to make the gray circle and layered the other two circle smaller using the cricut. Before I glued the layered circles I glued the ribbon under it, and around the back. I just tuck the ribbon into a paper slide I cut from sizzix.

Now I can share

K got her birthday card today, so I can share what I've been working on. Top card is for Big AL, gray is for Glenn, red & black is for Tam and quilled is for my DDIL. Still have Tay and G-MA to go.
I made the arrows using DS. It is a triangle and the letter C welded together.

This is a gate fold. The left side has a semi-circle cut out so the circle on the right side fits inside. The ribbon goes around the back to keep it closed

The flower has a stamped birthday quote and then painted with a silver glaze. The embossing is sanded so the white core shows through.

The flower is quilled and layered on torn vellum. The bg is embossed and little flowers and beads glued on. I hope it made it intact to C-Land.

Long Week

Been a long week in PA, but it is the weekend again. Congratulations to KL on her new job! We're proud of you. What a nice birthday present for you! Hopefully we'll (meaning BB) close the hole in the bathroom wall and connect the faucets. G-MA is arriving in 14 days! Gotta start cleaning!
