I had fun making paper dolls this month....Top card is for a co-worker ( a pirate zealot) who broke his leg in July and is still out on workmen's comp. Liam's birthday theme is guess what>>>>MIC- blahblah.....

Over a month

Shame on me. A couple of things I made. The ensemble is for my boss' new grandson. The bibs are obviously for the new babies that inspired my new hobby!

So it took a few more days...

As promised I am sharing, better late than never. Both birthday cards for guys. Girls are easier.

Sunday, Sunday!

At least it is only a 4 day week, although 1/3 of next weekend will be spent going food shopping in NJ. Woke up with a headache, couldn't be the caipirinha or the cachaca. I really didn't feel any effects although I was very thirsty! I still worked in the yard, creating a new bed, made lunch, went to Lowes to buy sod and plants, took Gma food shopping, took advantage of a sale at ACMoore, went to Ulta, fed Bailey, cooked dinner, cleaned the stove, put away the pots, and now I'm going to write the payroll. I need to go to work tomorrow so I can rest! Anyway I do have a couple of new cards to post. Top is for an aunt in FLA and the sets are for E&J in NJ. I made the same cards in opposite colors and then created a crayon box to put the note cards in. E's box is the other side of the double sided paper. Very little girly!

PS - I would like to congratulate my DD - J on another sure sign of adulthood, a car payment! Really nice ride!

I didn't tell anyone

Just returned from NJ and a "welcome baby" party(in lieu of a christening) and there were lots of grandmas and grandpas there...Here is a picture of the card for the newest member of Team P___.Hey that's what the cake said!

Yes, I've been remiss

Now that we're back from C-land, here-to-fore to be referred to as V-land I'm hoping to find time to post. I've really been pumping out some projects, but I haven't posted any. I will do that soon, I promise! Had a great week once we got there and miss J&K&I already. House is beautiful and on the way to becoming home. Today we went to D-town (B&K) and visited the new house there. Their plans are to move in late July so they have many projects in the works. Time will be the challenge since B is away for 4 days a week, but I know they will 'figure it out'. Ugh, work tomorrow. Let's hope the Kampers didn't blow anything up! Love u guys!

Happy Mothers' Day

Yes, I'm posting!!!

I certainly did not load these in the right order, but no matter. The top picture is the card open, the middle picture is the card closed and the bottom is the cupcake I cut and appliqued to the shirt. It's for a little girl who will have her first bithday. The card is cut from Wild Card Cartridge, so is the material cupcake. It cut through the material enough I could follow the outline with scissors. I sewed it to two layers of felt with embroidery thread.

So it took me 3 more days!!!!

I have a few things to show....I know it's about time! The top picture is a post it note holder made from a piece of double sided paper. Bought a little $1 notebook with a pink pen to put in the slot.

A sneak peek into the valentine gift for my kids. Another tomorrow. (how corny) The bottom picture is of the tag I made for BB to send to GMa for Valentine's Day. I shopped for the heart and made the tag and sent it UPS but he'll get the credit. I'm telling you there is a huge flaw in my personality. Love you!

ANNOUNCING...

the newest vice president at PM. We are very proud of him and I feel it's about time his hard work was recogninzed. Notice the star candles representing his stellar qualitites. Gma made the sign and we all went out to celebrate at SpringHouse Tavern. I had a Bailey's to toast. No I wasn't drunk. I'll forward the announcement they sent nationwide to all PM employees. They also had a cake and ice cream party at PM for him. Everyone there is really happy and told him it was well deserved.

This is cut from the wild card cartridge Santa brought me. It is the "swoop" so it is not a rectangle but one of those geometric shapes, I think it's a rhombus. I sewed (yes with a sewing machine) (you should be proud of me) to make a pocket. Then I cut a scalloped oval and a classic oval from the same double sided paper and sprayed it with that pearl ex and water mixture so it does sparkle, just a little. I cut flower 4 from Cricut Home Accents Cartridge and a shadow and mounted everything with foam tape. The envelope is cut from same wild card cartridge so it is the same shape. Someday I'll learn how to use the camera properly. Stay warm and cozy. Love you!

Sunday - post 2

I figured I'd better post the pictures before I get busy with house cleaning. Top is small book made from corrugated sheet that they pack in the invoices at work so they don't shift. Just applied ink DTP. Tag is made from my justrite monogram. Next is made by stamping background and coloring in with markers. Last is for U Dave. Again justrite stampers. Love those stamps.
